Bird’s Eye: Crows are hugely intelligent birds; science is just catching up with First Nation mythology in knowing that. We start with a wonderful ten minute TED talk on crow intelligence. Then there are two one hour TV specials, both entitled “A Murder of Crows” (‘murder’ is the collective noun for crows, as ‘flock’ is for lesser birds. Really.) These shows (CBC, PBS) may be the same show, but none of us will ever know because one is only watchable in Canada, and the other in the US.
